All within the beating heart of Deptford!

We are launching our series of films with a free open air screening of the BLACK PANTHER (2018) in the Albany Gardens with all appropriate social distancing measures in place. Admission is free and assigned on a first come first serve basis, so please arrive early to avoid disapppointment.

All our screenings at the Albany and Deptford Lounge follow COVID social distancing and safety regulations. See below for further details.

After the death of his father and King, T’Challa, the Black Panther returns home to the secretive and technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to be crowned. His reign is tested when actions from his father’s past return to challenge the throne and the ideals of Wakanda itself…

Black Panther, the 18th film from Marvel Studios expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a mainstream Afrofuturist vision of the fictional nation of Wakanda. Directed by Ryan Coogler of Creed and Fruitvale Station fame, Black Panther stars the late Chadwick Boseman in the title role surrounded by a feast of incredible supporting cast and some of the best production and costume design around in this science fiction comic book behemoth!

Like Taika Waititi before him, Ryan Coogler gives the Marvel template a bold auteurist twist with an African extravaganza that packs a muscular intensity and challenges as much as it exhilarates.
