Described by director Khalik Allah as "taking the hood off of the hood and showing you the head", this stylised hour-long documentary is a startling portrait of summer nights on the Harlem street corner of 125th and Lexington Avenue. Capturing the emotional, physical and spiritual struggles of the neighborhood's night trawlers with strikingly composed portraiture and hypnotically juxtaposed street footage, it lays audio conversations over its singular imagery, presenting both intimate and political discussions with residents on topics such as their aspirations, regrets and dreams.
