The All-Round Reduced Personality was the first feature from acclaimed German feminist film director Helke Sander.  This screening is in collaboration with the Goethe Institut London.

West Berlin, 1977 : Eda Chiemnyjewski, an unmarried mother working as freelancer for some local newspapers soon finds out that "a cook has no time to occupy herself with state affairs". Her position involving a photo project covering West Berlin for her is like an act of tightrope walking.

We are showing The All-Round Reduced Personality as part of our programme for Scalarama.

Deptford Cinema is proud to be taking part in Scalarama. This annual celebration sees September transform into a month of amazing films, screened in various locations and by all different types of people – from established picture palaces to newbies, completely new to screening films. Scalarama is by everyone, for everyone, everywhere, with DIY in its veins.
