Curated by SVLLY(wood)’s founding editor, Rooney Elmi, this special program of documentary short films center imprisoned women on screen and participate in the necessary work of undoing the celluloid legacy of violence and exploitation of women behind bars. Inspired by the release of SVLLY(wood)’s latest issue: INCARCERATION, this program includes Sundance, SXSW, and Vimeo Staff Pick award winning short films including Jade Jackman’s 2018 BFI Best UK Short Film, Calling Home, followed by a launch party! Come to SVLLY(wood)’s first ever live event in London and make sure to bring a friend! Print issues of INCARCERATION will also be available for sale and make sure you’re following the radical, underground movie magazine on Twitter for updates @SVLLYwood!
