RW Fassbinder’s scalpel-sharp second feature depicts the intolerance of a group of financially and sexually frustrated slackers who spend most of their time hanging out in front of a Munich apartment building. When Greek immigrant labourer Jorgos (played by Fassbinder) arrives in their neighbourhood, their aimless lives are suddenly disturbed and new tensions arise, both inside the group and with Jorgos.
