Intergenerational Project
We bid for a travelling cinema for older people in Lewisham and won a small amount to get this started. The idea is to host a monthly screening between February and August somewhere in the Lewisham borough. We desperately need more volunteers on board to:
Help administrate the project, i.e. create the programme/ posters etc, organise dates with venues, help promote locally to older people
Make refreshments for the screening days, such as cakes and sandwiches
To host/ volunteer at events, some of which will be on week days in the day time
To help transport our travelling cinema kit to the venues
Can you help? We are meeting today (16th Feb.) at the cinema at 12pm.
This will be great experience in marketing to audiences we don't usually reach and setting up and running off-site screenings.
