Not many films get more local than this, OK, it's about the flowering of new romance, engagingly played by newcomers David Johnsson and Vivian Oparah, but Rye Lane, Peckham and South London also get star billing, complemented by a windows down soundtrack. It's not always easy to reproduce the authenticity and vibe of an area as complex and cosmopolitan as SE15, but this film does just that, with the right mix of humour, style and energy, without glossing over the grittiness and edge that make Peckham and surrounding areas special, not least to those of us who call it home.
