Following the wild success of their first Deptford Cinema PlayedBack event accompanying the short films of Jan Svankmajer, Yusufla are delighted to announce the second instalment of the series - an evening of live improvised music to the backdrop of the stunning, unique and deeply unsettling animation legends - the Quay Brothers.
The Brothers’ world of miniature live action and animation - a dim nightmare of the deranged, a sinister homage to folk objects, is unforgettable and will haunt long into the night and beyond!
Live improvised accompaniment to these stunning images will be provided by South London’s beloved new jazz band Yusufla (https://www.facebook.com/yusuflamusic/). Our audience were thrilled and inspired by their interpretation of Svankmajer’s images, we can’t wait to see what they do this time round!
