The season continues with one of the most impactful and influential films of all time, the neo-noir thriller Blade Runner. This classic emphasises humanity’s capacity for self-destruction: ecological disasters, continuing economic polarisation, the growing power of corporate structures and the emergence of soon-to-be-sentient AI which strengthen the film’s prophetic vision of 2019.
