Floyd bids his two friends farewell in a Hamburg suburb. He is to start work on a ship the next day. Together, the three friends tour the sleeping city. A film about seemingly aimlessly trying things out, putting out feelers, escaping from stagnation and about new perspectives.

Absolute Giganten is an early feature from the career of Sebastian Schipper who is best known for his 2015 film Victoria.
