8th NEW CROSS & DEPTFORD FREE FILM FESTIVAL
This screening is part of 8th NXDFFF. The Festival will take place between 26 April – 5 May 2019. At various venues across New Cross and Deptford we will screen over 30 films. This year the programme is a fascinating mix of independent, art-house and mainstream films from different decades.

Winner of the Art Cinema Award at the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Deptford Cinema is proud to present CLIMAX, Gaspar's Noé's latest daring odyssey into the intoxicating and bewildering unknown. Associated with the New French Extremity Movement, Noe's part-horror/thriller, part-musical opus is nerve-shredding as it is compelling.
French dancers gather in a remote, empty school building to rehearse on a wintry night. The all-night celebration morphs into a hallucinatory nightmare when they learn their sangria is laced with LSD.
We love Gaspar here at Deptford Cinema, having previously screened Enter The Void, Love and Irreversible as part of a Late 2017/Early 2018 retrospective - and we're so excited to be able to screen the film on New Cross & Deptford Free Film Festival 2019.
WARNING: CLIMAX contains sequences of fast flashing images which may affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive.
