Returning from their last road trip to White Castle, Harold and Kumar set off for Amsterdam. But when Kumar lights up his new bong on the plane, the pair are arrested, accused of being terrorists, and sent to Guantanamo Bay. When they're ordered to fellate a guard, Harold and Kumar make an escape, and embark on a search for Kumar's ex-girlfriend's fiancé, hoping that he will intercede with Washington on their behalf. But with the feds in hot pursuit, will Harold and Kumar ever get to sample the legal weed of Amsterdam?

Screening as part of the BFI's nationwide Comedy Genius project.

Harold And Kumar Escape From Guantánamo Bay says more cogent and pertinent things about post-9/11 America than all the socially responsible and endlessly dreary war on terror movies combined... a new breed of Hollywood hero
— The Guardian
You’ve got to love this stoner duo
— Empire
The Harold & Kumar movies, of which this is the second (after the immortal Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) and I hope not the last, go further than most stoner raunch comedies in acknowledging certain realities of contemporary American life... its idiocy serves the cause of good sense and intelligence.
— New York Times
In its own wacky way, Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay is one of the ballsiest comedies to come out of Hollywood in a long time. No kidding.
