A Wild West horror mash-up! Legendary outlaw of the Old West Jesse James, on the run from Marshal MacPhee, hides out in the castle of Baron Frankenstein's granddaughter Maria, who proceeds to transform Jesse's slow-witted pal Hank into a bald zombie, which she names Igor. Director Beaudine shot between 150 and 175 movies in over five decades and this was the last offering by the low-budget schlockmeister, released in the same year as his companion piece Billy the Kid v Dracula.

This is the third film in our FRANKENSTEIN FOREVER season – a celebration of the cinematic legacy of Mary Shelley’s novel. Although there have been numerous straight adaptations of her gothic masterpiece, this season brings you some of the weirdest, wackiest and most bizarre films inspired by Shelley’s brilliant imagination. 2018 marks 200 years since the publication of Frankenstein. Reckon you can survive all five screenings? It’s certainly refreshing to see a female having fun playing the role of a mad scientist. Like its same-year companion piece Billy the Kid vs Dracula, this has since achieved mind-boggling cult status.
