Controversially premiering at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival where it earned the Prix Très Spécial, Trouble Every Day is a dark, dangerous and exhilarating piece of filmmaking from Claire Denis (Beau Travail, White Material).
Honeymooning in Paris, Americans Shane (Vincent Gallo) and June (Tricia Vessey) are a happy couple. But when Shane’s curiosity about the darker side of life draws him back to the medical clinic where he was once involved in experimental research on the human libido, he is brought into contact with Core (Beatrice Dalle), the wife of one of the leading researchers. Her involvement in the project has led her to prey upon men, her uncontrollable desires for the flesh mirroring Shane's own base instincts. Created a deep seated bond, their shared carnal desire creates a hunger which both become powerless to resist.
