Bright Blue Gorilla in collaboration with Deptford Cinema are proud to present: Mr. Rudolpho's Jubilee.
An evening of concert with Bright Blue Gorilla, the screening of Mr. Rudolpho's Jubilee followed by a Q&A session with the actors Tony Moore and Howard Corlett.
Mr. Rudolpho's Jubilee is the story of a famous Italian fashion designer who becomes disillusioned with his shallow life and decides to commit suicide during Berlin Fashion Week. His plan goes wrong and he's taken in by a group of off-the-grid Bohemian artists, who have no idea who he is. Meanwhile, the world outside searches for Rudolpho, and, this being a Bright Blue Gorilla film, the plot thickens, spins and churns with love, music, and comic mayhem!
Mr. Rudolpho's Jubilee humorously presents universal modern themes: The isolating effect of technology, the consequences of gentrification, and the importance of keeping life simple.
The ensemble cast is led by Germany's Christiane Paul as Anja, and Italy's Francesco Mazzini as Rudolpho. It’s a romantic comedy/drama in English, German, and Italian. Bright Blue Gorilla (Director/Writer Michael Glover & Producer Robyn Rosenkrantz) are the musical narrators in the film, popping up as a “Greek Chorus” throughout.
