Accessibility at Deptford Cinema

Deptford Cinema is committed to accessibility for persons with disabilities. If possible, please contact us in advance of the event you plan to attend to discuss particular accommodation requirements and how we can be of help. Personal assistants are welcome at no additional cost. We are working to make our space more accessible for all, please get in touch with comments or suggestions.

Access Around The Venue

There is a small step to the front door and main floor of the venue. The door is 80cm wide. There is another small step from the entryway into the bar area. On the main floor is found the bar and the toilets. The bar area is small and may be difficult to navigate for wheelchair users. Both toilets are individual units and gender neutral. They have no alarm system and the locks are not accessible to all.

There are 16 steps from the main floor down to the cinema. There is a banister on the left of the stairs. The aisle between the left and right seating sections is a ramp. The first row of seating at the cinema consists of couches that can be moved to accommodate wheelchairs. While we welcome your arrival at Deptford Cinema by mobility scoot, our cinema seating is not suitable for these vehicles at this time.

Guide animals are always welcome into the venue. For the time being we cannot accommodate other animals.

At this time Deptford Cinema doesn't have a loop system for the hard of hearing, nor BSL interpreters for film introductions and post-screening discussions.
